What we collect
- Information you send us – for example your name, email address and message if you contact us by email.
- Technical data – standard server or hosting logs may include IP address, browser type, pages visited and timestamps. Exact logging depends on your hosting provider.
- Search queries – game searches are processed in your browser and sent to third-party price APIs to return results. We do not operate a user accounts system.
Cookies and similar technologies
This site itself does not set essential account cookies. When you follow outbound links to retailers or affiliate partners (for example G2A), those third parties may set their own cookies (including affiliate tracking cookies) under their own privacy policies.
We may add analytics or advertising cookies in future. If we do, we will update this policy and, where required, ask for consent.
Third-party services
To provide price comparisons and related features we use external services, including:
- CheapShark (deal and store data)
- Exchange-rate providers (currency conversion estimates)
- Retailers and affiliate programmes you choose to visit (for example G2A)
- CDN scripts such as Tailwind CSS from a content delivery network
Those services process data under their own terms and privacy notices.
Why we process data
- To operate and improve the website (legitimate interests)
- To respond to enquiries you send us (legitimate interests / contract steps)
- To comply with legal obligations where applicable
How long we keep data
Email enquiries are kept only as long as needed to handle your request and for a reasonable follow-up period, unless we must retain them longer for legal reasons. Hosting logs follow the host’s retention settings.
Your rights (UK)
Under UK data protection law you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction or erasure
- Restrict or object to certain processing
- Data portability, where applicable
To exercise these rights, use the Contact page. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO): ico.org.uk.
